his artwork and lifeways.

Stan Padilla ~A Personal Appeal~Northern Californian

NOW IS THE TIME……..My personal appeal to YOU!

There is a storm system heading our way from the southerly direction. We NEED to call in the rain.
Do you believe we can do it? I will be doing my part and can you join me? We need the rain for more than moisture, now for us, it is like a medicine. A good portion of the emotional desperation in the world is from droughtitis.
However you do it……. prayer, feelings, wishing, meditating, dancing, ceremonies….begin as soon as you read this. JUST DO IT!
If you need to talk to me fine otherwise I will meet you in the clouds…
I am smelling rain, hearing rain, feeling rain and experiencing the moisture in the earth.
Rain beautiful rain
touch our tender mother earth

NASA / Goddard has released high definition imagery of the Earth directed X Class flare (X1.6) which occurred on September 10 2014.

Full post with links to the original NASA video here:

A solar 'shockwave' can be seen via this SDO imagery, as well as the long series of flares comprising this X class event.

For the record , we saw an Earth directed "shock wave" like this, from an X class flare in 2011, a few days before the March Japan mega-earthquake.

Dalai Lama in Hamburg: “Our struggle is the struggle between the power of the gun and the power of truth.”
Dalai Lama
Speaking during a stay in Hamburg, Germany, the Dalai Lama was interviewed by Deutsche Welle. His Holiness spoke about his view on the latest developments in Tibet, Chinese efforts to isolate him, and his desire to return to Tibet:

When Hu Yaobang visited Lhasa in the early 1980's, his public speeches and comments were very realistic. At that time, everybody developed great hope. I still believe, if Hu Yaobang had remained in power for a longer time, the Tibet issue would have already been solved. Xi Jinping seems to follow that same sort of more realistic approach. So there is some hope. In any way: It is better to remain with hope and in the meantime better prepare for the worst.

The full interview can be read here.

Multiple Tibetan deaths reported after shooting in Kham, including four from wounds left untreated in police custody
WangdakThere is now a total of seven known deaths following the shooting in Sershul, Kardze (Chinese: Ganzi) on August 12. Four Tibetans died of untreated wounds in custody, while a Tibetan named by sources as Lo Palsang from Shugba village, who had been wounded in the demonstration, committed suicide in custody. Wangdak’s maternal aunt, named by exile Tibetan sources as 64-year old Dawa Lhamo, was so severely tortured in Sershul (Chinese: Shiqu) county detention center that she has been hospitalized, with family prevented from visiting her. Reports are emerging that a Chinese police officer also died after being accidentally shot by troops when they opened fire on a crowd of unarmed Tibetans protesting the detention of Shugba village leader Wangdak.

No information is known about the whereabouts of village leader Wangdak, whose detention sparked the peaceful demonstration on August 12. A Tibetan in exile who has spoken to a number of sources said: “No one knows whether he is alive or dead.” For more details please see the full ICT report.

Chinese Academy of Sciences: Climate change threatens Tibet
Citing a comprehensive study recently completed in Tibet, an article in Nature laid out some of the challenges facing Tibet as the Earth warms. “The region is getting hotter, wetter and more polluted, threatening its fragile ecosystems and those who rely on them,” it found, while giving statistics showing that the Tibetan plateau is warming far faster than the global average. The study also found that urbanization, desertification, and mining pose great threats to the fragile Tibetan environment.

Tibetan monk Damchoe Tsultrim released after two and a half years in prison
Damchoe Tsultrim
Radio Free Asia has reported that a Tibetan monk from Bongtak monastery in northern Tibet was released from prison in late August after completing his 2.5 year sentence. Damchoe, whose case was included in the recent ICT report “Acts of Significant Evil,” was arrested following the self-immolation of another monk in his monastery. He was warmly received by monks, relatives and local people on his return home according to the RFA report.

ICT report: Chinese Party official promotes inter-racial marriages in Tibet to create ‘unity’
Tibet Autonomous Region Party Secretary Chen Quanguo’s exhortations towards “fraternal ethnic intermarriage” were promoted on the front page of Tibet Daily, the official Party newspaper, and given prominence elsewhere in the state media in the past few weeks. Chen even spoke about the need for Party officials and departments to set themselves up as ‘matchmakers’ for introducing couples to each other, “building a bridge to connect [singles from all ethnic groups] to their soulmates.”

His comments underlining Xi Jinping’s assertion on the importance of ethnic mingling represent a sidelining of those more moderate and progressive views, and a push towards greater integration of Tibetans into the Chinese Party-state and downgrading of their culture and religion. They are likely to intensify fears over the survival of Tibetan national and cultural identity. They are also likely to alienate educated and other Tibetans still further, amidst growing despair at the penetration of Party policies on individuals’ private lives. For more please see the full ICT report.
